Girl's Night Out with Mary Kay Andrews

South Magazine was proud to join Scott West and Savannah VIP Events to sponsor the Mary Kay Andrews book signing event and girl's night out red carpet celebration hosted at the Brice Hotel on May 18th. Over three hundred fans came out to meet the New York Times best-selling author and get an autograph of her newest novel, Beach Town, which hit shelves on May 19th, the same day as Mary hits the road for a 26-city national tour.

Nine Link 5k & 10K: Race for the Wounded

We had a great time supporting such a great cause at the Nine Line 5k and 10k Race for the Wounded this past Saturday. The run was co-hosted by Nine Line Apparel and Service Brewing Co., two local, veteran-owned and operated companies in Savannah, GA.

14th Annual Taste of Downtown Business Connection

Hundreds of Savannah Area Chamber members and guests arrived at Johnson Square eager to dish about their favorite Savannah Chef's, Restaurants and Caterers on Thursday, May 14th at the Taste of Downtown Business Connection hosted by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. Savannah Art Walk - May

Art enthusiasts and curious tourists gathered together on Saturday May 2nd to participate in the Savannah Art Walk , a newly-established, monthly event created by SCAD Alumni, Tiffani Taylor, designed to inspire support for the many artists that call the Landmark Historic District their home. Attendees gathered at Rocks on the Roof to enjoy a gratis wine pouring and presentation before embarking on a self-guided tour of the twenty participating galleries listed on the map.

Bourbon and Bowties

The maiden Bourbon and Bowties fundraiser took off at the Ships of the Sea Museum with Chef Nick Mueller at the helm for a delicious evening of specially crafted hors d’ourves paired with the finest Savannah Bourbon.

Tybee Island Wine Festival Grand Tasting

The sun showed up and turned the water into wine on Saturday the 25th as the torrential April showers gave way just in time for the start of the Tybee Island Wine Festival Grand Tasting. This year's sold-out event hosted hundreds of guests from up and down the East Coast who traveled to Savannahs beach for a family-friendly Tybee time.
