Savannah Art Walk – May
Art enthusiasts and curious tourists gathered together on Saturday May 2nd to participate in the Savannah Art Walk , a newly-established, monthly event created by SCAD Alumni, Tiffani Taylor, designed to inspire support for the many artists that call the Landmark Historic District their home. Attendees gathered at Rocks on the Roof to enjoy a gratis wine pouring and presentation before embarking on a self-guided tour of the twenty participating galleries listed on the map. After a few hours of exploration, participants regrouped at the beautiful Andaz Hotel to enjoy a second gratis wine pour and raffle drawing. Visitors to the May event were treated to a special book signing of Ms. Taylor's newly published Art & Poetry book and also had the opportunity to meet Ukrainian artist, Oksana Gruszka, who was on hand to present her stunning "Dove's Nest" oil painting representing the buildings on East Taylor Street at Monterey Square. The Savannah Art Walk takes place every first Saturday of each month from 4pm – 8pm with the next Walk scheduled for June 6th.
