Explore the Creative Coast

From Charleston to Jacksonville, and even over to Atlanta, South brings you the guide to Eat, Stay, Play and Shop across the Creative Coast. For a more comprehensive search, click one of the destinations below.

GoSouth: Atlanta

The one true capital of the South, Atlanta sits at the epicenter of an electrifying energy that is transforming the region. On the one hand, it is a metropolis writ large, with arts, culture and a spirit that is second to none. Ask anyone this side of the Mason Dixon how to get to “The City” and they’ll point you here. On the other, it still carries that timeless Southern authenticity and hospitality that sets the South apart. Carrying the best of the past into a dazzling future it is creating for itself, Atlanta is the standard bearer for the new South, with so much to explore.

GoSouth / North Carolina

Asheville North Carolina will take you from quaint to quintessence, nature to nightlife, hipster to high-end, and back again. It’s everything you’d think the famed Blue Ridge Mountains would offer, then full of surprises you’d never expect to find in this tucked-away treasure and rejuvenating retreat.

GoSouth / Nashville

If you think you know Nashville, it’s time for a new look at the old favorite and bring your appetite while you’re at it. One of the most nicknamed metropolises in the country (emphasis on “country”), the Birthplace of Country Music and Music City, USA has a lengthy list of lesser-known monikers like the “Protestant Vatican” (makes sense – if you know, you know), and the “Hot Chicken Capital.” That last one caught South’s attention as we checked out Prince’s Hot Chicken. We took one for the team and it was worth it! Along with other hot-spots lighting up “The Powder City of the World.” (We swear we’re not making these up.)

More Than Just A Mansion

Dubbed “American royalty,” the Vanderbilts are one of the wealthiest highly influential American families. Among their legacies sits the vast and luxurious 125,000-acre Biltmore Estate.
