Winter Weather Drinks with Ghost Coast
Up and running for just ten months, Ghost Coast Distillery is making a name for themselves.
The first distillery since prohibition, Ghost Coast has four select spirits available on the shelf and many more small batch spirits and liquors to try in their cocktail room. These are hard workers and it is apparent they love what they do. The orange vodka on the market right now? It took nine months to perfect. Not many distilleries work to make a 33 gallon batch to test out different flavors and products, but the folks at Ghost Coast do. Drinks like elderflower liquor, gin, vermouth, are all available in the cocktail room in small batches. The gin you try tomorrow may not taste the same six months from now unless the visitors really, really love it, which makes for a great experience for the cocktail mixers and the cocktail drinkers!
Already working on collaborations with places like Savannah Bee Company, this city is very important to Erin Muller and all the folks at Ghost Coast. "We're very active in the community, and we hope to highlight the top notch products coming out of Savannah from local businesses, and to create something Savannah can be proud of."
Take for example, a hot toddy. A perfect drink when you're feeling under the weather. The team up of Ghost Coast Distillery and Savannah Bee Company to create honey whisky is the key ingredient to making this cocktail. A connection with the community allows Ghost Coast to take their products to the next level.
The best part is they've got you covered when it comes to making all kinds of drinks at home. Here are some great chilly weather cocktails to sip on by the fire place, while it's lit, or not. It is still the South, after all.
