Plant Riverside Kicks Off St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
Savannahians kicked off St. Patrick's Day festivities this past Friday with live performances and plenty of green-themed fun.
As you may have heard, Plant Riverside District hosted a weekend of fun-filled, outdoor shenanigans to kick off St. Patrick’s Day 2021 celebrations.
This past Friday was perhaps the biggest weekend since the last full-fledged Savannah St. Patrick’s Day in 2019. With a stacked outdoor entertainment line-up, Plant Riverside District turned the riverwalk green with plenty of Irish-inspired festivities and performances. The line-up featured Laiken Love and the Fellowship of Love, Rob Taylor, the Irish Pipes and Drums Band, Western Boy, Savannah Cirque, Riverdance and Savannah Children’s Choir. Guests enjoyed a riverwalk lighting ceremony—literally turning the riverwalk green—as well as pictures with Lucky the Leprechaun.
