Plant Riverside District Unveils St. Paddy’s Lineup
Plant Riverside District is hosting a slew of exciting St. Patrick's Day festivities from March 12-17. Get ready to paint the District green, shamrock the river-walk and celebrate Savannah's favorite holiday!

Plant Riverside District is hosting a repertoire of “Shamrocks and Shenanigans” from March 12-17 to celebrate Savannah’s favorite holiday. Festivities include pictures with Lucky the Leprechaun, Irish-inspired Savannah Cirque shows, Irish musical performances, dancers and more!
While Savannahians are still grieving the loss of the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade for the second year in a row, Plant Riverside District has come to the rescue with a six-day lineup of continuous Irish-inspired celebrations! The shenanigans kick-off on Friday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. with a “Shamrock the Riverwalk” lighting ceremony to officially turn the river-walk green. Events continue almost non-stop until Wednesday, March 17 for a spectacular viewing of the Shamrock Ships Flotilla and conclude with a fountain show accompanied by Irish dancers and Savannah Children’s Choir recorded performance.
The six-day event at Plant Riverside District will offer free live music, Irish dance performances and photos with Lucky the Leprechaun as well as festive food and drink options for all ages. Featured performers include the Eric Culbertson Blues Band, Tell Scarlet, the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra, The Band Draucker, New York Police Department’s Pipes and Drums band, Lyn Avenue singer/songwriter/guitarist CC Witt and Laiken Love and the Fellowship of Love. Additional highlights include Irish-inspired performances by Savannah Cirque and nightly fountain shows featuring music from Riverdance.

On Friday, March 12, Plant Riverside District’s iconic smokestacks, fountains and other familiar landmarks will be illuminated with green lights to kick off the celebration. A special Shamrock the Riverwalk at Plant Riverside District Lighting Ceremony, led by The Kessler Collection’s Chairman and CEO Richard Kessler, will take place on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Montgomery Park overlooking the Savannah River.
On Saturday, March 13, Plant Riverside District will host a full day of entertainment with Irish dancers, Savannah Cirque and live outdoor performances by Tell Scarlet from 3-6 p.m. and the Eric Culberson Blues Band from 7-10 p.m. along the riverwalk. Food and drink specials will be available throughout the day.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Plant Riverside will feature free live outdoor entertainment along the riverfront from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., including the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra from 1-4 p.m. and The Band Draucker from 7-10 p.m. Shamrocks and Shenanigans attendees can enjoy free, open viewing of the Shamrock Ships St. Paddy’s Flotilla along Plant Riverside District’s riverwalk from 1-3 p.m. Food and drink specials will be available throughout the day.
From 11 a.m. to midnight on St. Patrick’s Day, Electric Moon Skytop Lounge will host a special St. Patrick’s Day-themed VIP party for adults age 21 and up, featuring specialty cocktails, a live DJ, raffle prizes and more. Tickets are $50 in advance at www.plantriverside.com and $75 at the door. Face masks and temperature checks are required for admission. Wrist bands will be provided for re-entry subject to availability. Guest count cannot exceed Covid maximum.
