Dr. Toni Lewis McCullough – Dermatology

Who: Dr. Toni Lewis McCullough is a dermatologist, wife and mother … and former aerobics instructor of nearly 10 years! When she is not at the office, she is always with her family – usually exercising, spending time with her dog Bailey, baking or enjoying movies and musical theatre. Her love for theatre and singing began at Saint Vincent’s Academy under Patty Schreck, where she also graduated as valedictorian of her class. Dr. McCullough and her family are active within the Savannah Children’s Theatre, a non-profit organization close to her heart. She cites her parents—her father was one of twelve children in a poor uneducated family and her mother was an emergency room nurse—as her inspiration. 

What: Dr. McCullough runs and owns her solo practice, Chatham Dermatology, along with her cherished staff, including office manager Chansom Croft and nurse supervisor Whitney Lane Fields, who have been with the practice for over 17 years. At Chatham Dermatology, each patient is seen by the physician (no nurse practitioners or physician assistants) and receives comprehensive care. Patients never experience over-scheduling or cosmetic product pushing, can always reach a real person on the phone, and have Dr. McCullough’s undivided attention during a consultation. Dr. McCullough also uses dermoscopy (skin surface microscopy) in-office to offer cutting-edge, efficient diagnosis of skin cancer.

Why: Dr. McCullough identifies as “old fashioned” when it comes to medicine. She rejects the impersonal computer-driven nature of healthcare and gets to know each of her patients. As a board-certified dermatologist, she offers years of education, training, and experience to her patients. She also networks online with other dermatologists around the country on a daily basis to learn and share information to assure excellent care for all patients. Dermatology is not a job for Dr. McCullough. She does what she loves, and she loves what she does!
