Tybee Island Spikeball Champion Crowned

Some say that if volleyball and foursquare had a baby it’d be named spikeball. To make it even more fun, the winner of rock, paper, scissors gets to pick the side or serve.

With 4+ million players all over the world and 150+ tournaments every year, opposing teams lined up across from each other with a roundnet in the center on August 8th to battle it out in what The Today Show calls "the hottest new beach and backyard game." Sponsored by Southern Eagle and Landshark LagerSavannah Adult Recreation Club Tybee tournament had participants going up against each other for $700 in cash prizes. Noah Luskus came away with the resounding title as the Tybee Island Spikeball Champion.
