The Alida, Savannah’s premier boutique hotel, announced today it has been named to Travel + Leisure’s 2022 T+L 500 list. The list recognizes the best hotels in the world, as determined by Travel + Leisure readers.

“We are thrilled to see The Alida recognized by Travel + Leisure’s discerning readers,” said Michael O’Shaughnessy, area general manager of the hotel. “Since opening our doors in 2018, it has been our goal to provide an exceptional experience for our guests that celebrates the spirit of Savannah. We’re proud that those positive guest experiences have earned us yet another accolade.”

Named for Alida Harper Fowlkes, a celebrated Savannah entrepreneur who also worked tirelessly to preserve its heritage, The Alida offers travelers a contemporary space and a unique representation of local artists, makers and thinkers. Complementing the hotel are three on-site dining concepts — Rhett, serving Coastal Cuisine that celebrates the Lowcountry, The Lost Square outdoor rooftop bar and chic lobby bar, The Trade Room.

Each year, the readers of Travel + Leisure vote for their favorite destinations, city hotels, resorts, and more in the World’s Best Awards survey. Drawing on the 2021 World’s Best Awards survey results, Travel + Leisure recognizes the 500 best hotels around the globe in the 2022 edition of the T+L 500. The T+L 500 properties are divided into eight geographic regions, designed to serve as a trusted resource for millions of enthusiastic travelers. The T+L 500 is not a ranked list.

The 2022 T+L 500 is featured in the May issue of Travel + Leisure and at www.travelandleisure.com/tl500-2022.
