After a career in management consulting, owner Julia Vigneault created frankie & june’s, (named after her pups, Franklin and June Bug), to provide unique beach and surfing apparel of the highest quality. 

“I have lived all over the world and when I moved to Savannah I fell in love with the beach and surfing,” Vigneault said. “I had this kind of ‘Field of Dreams’ moment, and knew I wanted to open a business that would uplift people.”  

And indeed she has, choosing to work with as many local vendors as possible. Vigneault is proud of being able to use surfboard shapers — yes, someone who designs and builds surfboards — for her inventory, and showcases textiles and art by SCAD grads. 

Frankie & june’s also carries highly sought-after coastal based beachwear lifestyle company Pacific Coast Apparel, touted as “apparel for your soul” as well as the ecologically conscious Yoga Democracy clothing line made from recycled plastic, and made by folks that want to live in a world where people feel free and accepted.
