PULSE! Art + Technology Festival
Every year, Telfair Museums play host to artists who incorporate technology into their work. With interactive exhibits and futuristic gadgets, spectators and participants enjoy a week filled with innovation and wonder. 2015's festival promises to be as exciting, if not more exciting, than those previous.
Highlights this year include a virtual reality game for the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality system, created by Keith Roberson and entitled Apalachicola Night Anomaly. Players explore the Apalachicola Forest at night, in the 3D world produced within the game. Roberson will be present the entire week of PULSE! and the game will be available in the Jepson Center atrium for guests to take turns playing. To see more of Roberson's work, visit his website here.
Other attractions include performances by dance group Purring Tiger, whose dancers interact with screens, and live-action performer Miwa Matreyek who uses a mix of animation, live action, and a projection screen to wow audiences.
