Let me take you to Perry Lane

Chic and boutique, the Perry Lane Hotel is finally ready to welcome Savannah’s locals and tourists with a vision for a unique lodging experience in the Hostess City’s Historic District.

If you’ve walked up and down Drayton Street enough in the last year and a half, you’ve most likely wondered, “What in the world are they building next to Parker’s?” Slowly yet surely the structure filling in the space between Green Fire Pizza and “Fancy” Parker’s has cemented itself as one of the most talked about and anticipated hotels in the area. Yes, it is a hotel, but do not be fooled by its exterior. This lodging experience, called the Perry Lane Hotel, is forecasted as the start of the redefinition of Savannah’s hotel scene.

At first, I referred to Perry Lane as a “boutique” hotel in attempt to sound posh. A look inside at the lobby, bar, rooftop bar, and rooms conjured up an alternative term: sleek. Southern Sleek. The word “posh” would accurately fit its personality as well. The vogue balance of luxury and accessibility creates a welcoming, unpretentious aura. In other words, just because it looks elegantly expensive does not mean locals should stay away from what it has to offer.

What exactly does that entail? The 3,700-square-foot complex will feature nothing but the finest of dining experiences from breakfast, lunch, and dinner in addition to a fully stocked espresso bar, gelato counter, a takeout area, and a small wine shop. There is also plenty of outdoor space to bask in the Southern breeze and practice your people-watching skills. Perry Lane looks out to Drayton, East McDonough, and Perry Streets and wants its guests and visitors to see out and in. This is the reason why the hotel sports floor-to-ceiling windows which contrast beautifully against the brick and tile surfaces omnipresent throughout the Perry’s decor. The result is a successful new addition to the Historic District with a complementing vibe of old meets new, a structural representation of the heart of Savannah.

What Perry Lane Offers

Because the Perry Lane is a Luxury Collection Hotel, every detail from the towels in the fitness center to the finishing touches in the guestrooms is polished and prepared to welcome guests. The hotel has a total of 167 smokefree guestrooms, including 12 suites available with ADA-compliant accommodations. Each room is decorated and arranged slightly different with local artists’ work adorning the walls and whimsical touches of class that make each guest’s lodging experience unique. That said, each room includes high-end bedding, deluxe bath products, and a fully stocked private bar. Perry Lane is also a dogfriendly hotel and allows dogs 50 pounds or less to join guests.

Part of the Perry Lane’s initiative is to engage with the Savannah community, not to disassociate with it by focusing strictly on out-of-town visitors. With 8,100 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space styled to sophistication, the hotel aims to be the next hot destination for locals who are seeking a venue for events and business meetings. For larger celebrations, a 3,000-square-foot glass-enclosed ballroom is available along with a 1,125-square-foot outdoor terrace guaranteed to make both locals and tourists gasp in awe at the splendor of its views.
