Kenny Davis: Living in Colour
South sat down with celebrity designer Kenny Davis for an interview that was interesting and colored with Davis’ personality and work. A man with much talent, Davis lives his life and designs his work by his motto: Live Life in Colour. And he does, from his dumpster-diving Scream chairs to his favorite haunts filled with color and activity. “My mom would not let me go play with the other boys until I helped her rearrange the furniture,” he says, but that didn’t sway him from still wanting to design when he grew up. After graduating from high school, Davis promptly went to journalism school in Kansas and then began his career designing. He got his name in Hollywood designing sets for Beauty and the Geek, making a name for himself by doing whatever he wanted on set.
