Troubling suicides, tales of foul play and murky histories cast a palpable sense of the spirit world over the Sorrel-Weed House.

“A lot of the history we have here is unsolved,” Calvin Parker, the Sorrel-Weed House manager, explained. Trained staff lead historic tours throughout the day and late-night, lock-in tours of the historic mansion. “But it’s not just a house with haunted history,” he said. “It’s a historic house museum that combines a lot of periods of Savannah history.” Calvin and other “keepers of the gate” are protectors of not only the house’s history, but it’s legacy as a cultural landmark in Savannah. Play historical detective on one of their tours or a late-night lock-in, if you dare. sorrelweedhouse.com / 912.257.2223
