Face of Power
A commitment to citizenship is at the heart of Georgia Power’s core values.
While their employees provide safe, reliable electric service to their customers, they also strive to improve the quality of life for the people in the communities where they work and live. Over 3,000 corporate volunteers across the state invest countless hours each year as members of “Citizens of Georgia Power.” The Savannah Chapter is one of the most active. From landscaping playgrounds to packing meals for those in need to refurbishing a local youth shelter, these employees not only dedicate their time and energy, but also raise dollars to support their signature projects. Since Georgia Power’s first President, Preston Arkwright, said in 1927 it is up to us and no other to be “a citizen wherever we serve.” That mission still inspires Georgia Power today. georgiapower.com / 888.660.5890
