Dr. Carl Pearl’s Solo Practice: Chatham Plastic Surgery
After over 21 years in the field, this Georgia native is going it alone. South magazine is pleased to introduce Dr. Pearl's new solo practice: Chatham Plastic Surgery.

As an arbiter of style, (hence his Lamborghini Murciélago and Louis Vuitton bomber), Dr. Pearl has appeared in South magazine 12 times since 2016, garnering titles such as “The Face of Plastic Surgery,” one of “South’s Greatest Doctors,” as well as “Most Stylish Companies.” / Photos: D. Paul Graham
A new adventure is a journey that begins in the mind, when that little voice in your head becomes inquisitive. Someone imagines something they want to accomplish or experience. Then, they find a way to get there and make it happen.

he inspiration to begin any adventure requires an inventive spirit and the belief that creating something different and new will be a good thing. “You don’t have to be unhappy where you are to decide to take a new journey,” says Dr. Carl Pearl. “But at the end of the day, you must believe that the destination is worth the leap of faith, and that the journey will make the destination all the more worthwhile.”
Dr. Carl Pearl says that the motivation to open his own practice, Chatham Plastic Surgery, came from the mindset, “Surround yourself with people in whom you believe.” He wants to create a patient experience that is beyond spectacular. Dr. Pearl insists that he has this opportunity to create something special because his patients and the greater Savannah community have believed in him. He is fortunate to have patients from all over the country and parts of the world that come to seek his expertise, but he acknowledges that it all starts here at home, in Savannah.

Dr. Carl Pearl stands in the framework of his new practice, Chatham Plastic Surgery. Built entirely by local hands, the office will be a true testament to the authenticity of the Savannah community. From retailers, to designers, to laborers, every inch is 100% home-grown.
Dr. Pearl is a fixture in the local community, and that community has helped him build his new practice: Chatham Plastic Surgery. “We used local builders, local designers, local cabinet makers and local retailers to create something so special so that people will feel like they are in a beautiful place when they come to the practice. We want our patients to feel like they’re at home.”
“When people say, ‘You don’t need Botox and lasers,’ I reply, ‘It is because I have had Botox and lasers,’” laughs Dr. Pearl, “When choosing lasers for the new office, I asked myself, ‘What treatments do I want?’ I also asked, ‘Who do I want firing the lasers and treating me?’” Dr. Pearl continues, “That is why I am excited that aestheticians Michelle Turley and Megan Waltemyer are going to be such a big part of Chatham Plastic Surgery. My nurse and practice administrator Mary Gay is ensuring that every detail is spectacular for our patients. They used to say that James Brown was the hardest working man in show business. Well, she is the hardest working woman in plastic surgery!”
