Top Deck New Years Eve Celebration

Guests kicked off the New Year with friends at one of Savannah’s Hottest Rooftop Venues and enjoy Passed Hors D’Oevres throughout the evening topped off by a champagne toast at midnight! Top Deck Bar is located on the 6th floor of the Cottonsail Hotel and boasts one of the greatest views in the city of Savannah. City Market New Years Eve Celebration

Every New Year’s Eve, City Market becomes Savannah’s “celebration central”. Live outdoor music continued throughout the evening as guest gathered to ring in the New Year, Southern style. Guests droped in and strolled through the market all evening long and enjoyed food at some of Savannah's finest restaurants and bar hopping through the many locations around City Market. Tourists and local residents alike had a blast as they ushered in the year 2017.

7th Annual Savannah Reindeer Run

On Saturday, December 17th, runners came to STEP-UP & STEP-IN© for youth, run against bullies and make sure everyone joins in the “Reindeer Games” at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center on Hutchinson Island. Participants enjoyed an 8K, a kiddie race, and lots of after-race games and activities perfect for all ages. The event also host a Best Cookie contest among top pastry chefs in the area. One of Savannah’s best family-oriented run events, the Reindeer Run benefits the important work of the Rape Crises Center of the Coastal Empire. Proceeds supported the Prevention Education program at the Rape Crisis Center which offers healthy relationship resources and training for local schools, colleges and organizations, including Safer, Smarter Kids, Anti-Bully, Safe Dates, and Sexual Harassment curriculum.

Savannah Philharmonic Holiday Pops

On December 17th, guests gathered for the beloved annual Holiday Pops concert, featuring musical favorites both old and new. Guests hear traditional tunes, sing-along melodies, and holiday classics in this concert that featured something for everyone. The American Traditions Competition’s 2016 Gold Medalist, Michael Maliakel, also joined in ushering in the holiday season with Holiday Pops and your Savannah Philharmonic!

Spanky's 40th Anniversary Celebration

Ansley Williams and the Live Oak Restaurant Family invited the public to Spanky's River Street on December 16 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Savannah restaurant, home of the original chicken finger. Past and present employees and patrons could be found in attendance during the evening, offering their favorite memories and Spanky's stories while enjoying the delicious food that has been bringing them back for decades. The December event marks the kick-off to a yearlong River Street celebration of "Fingers, Fun and Frolickin' Friends designed to recognize the people that have supported Spanky's after all these beers!

Holly Jolly Holiday Party

With over 60 years of combined experience, Celia W. Dunn and her husband, J. Laurence Dunn, have transformed the residential real estate community in Savannah and the Lowcountry of South Carolina, cultivating one of the most legendary real estate businesses in the area. This holiday Celia Dunn has a lot to celebrate! On Thursday December, 15th she held her annual Holly Jolly Holiday Party celebrating the holidays and her great successes.

6th Annual Oyster Roast

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with its emerging professionals council, LaunchSAVANNAH, hosted its 6th Annual Holiday Oyster Roast Business Connection on Thursday, December 15. at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. Held on the Westin’s River Lawn, this event featured food, live entertainment, beverages and networking with hundreds of the Savannah area’s business professionals.

Intersection Art Grand Opening

On December 8th, Judge Realty hosted a block party in front of their office to celebrate public art in Savannah. Judge Realty hosted local artist Will Penny for their third annual public art project on the prominent facade of 347 Abercorn Street. Entitled Intersection, Penny used manipulated light and motion graphics each night from 7-9 PM starting December 8 and running through December 28th.

November Martinis at the Mansion

Mansion on Forsyth Park for this monthly power networking event where guests will enjoy delicious $5 craft martinis and get to meet amazing organizations every month. The event was held at the Mansion on Forsyth Park and was an evening of power networking and fundraising for a cause to benefit the Bekilee Epilepsy Foundation in honor of Epilepsy Awareness Month. Martinis at the Mansion is a free event and is open to the public!

November Savannah Art Walk

Savannah Art Walk is a reoccurring event that happens every Second Saturday from September-June. The Savannah Art Walk is a free, inspiring, and positive energy event for our community and tourists of Savannah, GA, to explore the plethora of exquisite and diverse galleries of our Historic District. Our Historic Downtown is a city full of nature and peace. Journey through our magical city and visit as many of the participating galleries as possible. Attendees who presented a receipt from one of our Certified Savannah Art Walk Galleries were entered into a drawing for VIP gifts at the After Party, which includes fine art and various products from our amazing galleries and sponsors.

5th Annual Ranger Appreciation Golf Tournament 2016

The 5th Annual Ranger Appreciation Golf Tournament took place at The Club at Savannah Harbor on November 5, 2016. Guests spent a day with ranger buddies, family, friends and supporters in honor of our fallen rangers and fellow military members. The tournament benefited the Wounded Veteran Retreat Program. Savannah's Children's Book Festival 2016

Presented by Live Oak Public Libraries and the City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs, The Savannah Children's Book Festival returned to Forsyth Park on November 14, boasting an impressive lineup of renowned and award-winning children's book authors and illustrators from around the country. Now in its twelfth year, the festival attracts children of all ages to celebrate the joy of reading with live costumed characters, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, live book readings and a variety of food and entertainment.

7th Annual Trail of Hope 5k

The 7th Annual Trail of Hope 5k took place on November 12th, 2016 at Skidaway Island State Park. This family event allowed participants to support adoption by running the 5K, 1 mile, or Tot Trot. Check out the gallery to see if you were captured by one of our scenes photographers!

39 Rue de Jean One Year Anniversary

Guests arrived to 39 Rue De Jean Restaurant inside of the Embassy Suites in the Historic District on October 27 to a speakeasy themed event to celebrate the location's first anniversary in Savannah. Guests enjoyed a delicious display of items from the restaurant's menu while sipping on champagne and enjoying speakeasy themed costumes for the evening's contest. This 2015 addition to the Savannah culinary scene is the sister to its original Downtown Charleston, SC location. and offers a festive Brasserie and very European atmosphere with fresh seafood and sushi offerings not found in contemporary French Brasseries. Optim Surgery Center Grand Opening

The Optim Surgery Center hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and cocktail reception on October 26 to present it's newly renovated and expanded premier orthopedic ambulatory surgery center to the community. The new center is a dedicated musculoskeletal-focused surgery center that provide care for specialties such as sports medicine, total joint replacement, interventional pain management and well as pediatric orthopedics. Buy Local Savannah Lunch Tiffani Taylor

The final Buy Local Savannah networking lunch of 2016 was hosted at the Pirate's House Restaurant on October 27th featuring guest speaker, Tiffani Taylor, owner of the Tiffani Taylor Gallery and founder of the Savannah Art Walk. Tiffani spoke to the audience about the importance of collaboration between businesses and partners and how persistence and innovation helped her build her now International Art Empire from humble beginnings. Southern Sugaring Grand Re-Opening

Southern Sugaring, Savannah's premeire location for sugaring and sugaring education, celebrated the grand re-opening of their new two thousand square foot facility overlooking Chippewa Square. Guests at the event enjoyed browsing through the unique space while raising money for breast cancer awareness and the Turn It Pink Campaign. 2016 SCAD Film Festival Red Carpet Kick Off

The Savannah College of Art and Design's Annual Film Festival kicked off on Broughton Street in front of the Trustee's Theater on October 22nd to a sold out crowd of film enthusiasts, media reporters and photographers. The opening film was "Jackie," an intimate look at Jackie Onassis Kennedy in the days following her husband' assassination. Each year, more than 50,000 people attend the eight-day Savannah Film Festival which is host to a wide variety of competition film screenings, special screenings, workshops, panels and lectures. Andaz Salon Savannah Pride Festival

Andaz Savannah hosted a special October Artist Salon on the 21st, featuring members of the Savannah Pride and First City Network Organizations as a part of the 2016 Savannah Pride Weekend. Guests enjoyed complimentary wine and tasty food samples from the 22 Square Restaurant and Bar, while bidding on prizes from the evenings Silent Auction which included an impressive selection of Hyatt and Andaz hotel stays nationwide that were donated for the event to benefit the building of the new LGBT community center in Savannah.
