6 Most Instagrammable Places in Georgia

Georgia is known as “The Peach State” for its heavenly, delectable Georgia Peaches, but we think its sweet nickname means more than just the obvious: it’s a metaphor for how deeply enjoyable it is to spend your days there. Thanks to the state’s location, Georgia has real weather- from spotless, fluffy snows in the dead of winter to balmy summer days where the sun never seems to really set. The food culture and the appreciation for the arts that are part of the fabric of Georgia bring in different kinds of visitors from all over the world, but it’s Georgia’s beauty (both natural and man-made) that really is the cherry on top of this already mouthwateringly appealing sundae.

If you’re heading to Georgia for business or for pleasure, take a little extra time for yourself and snap a few Instagram-worthy shots at these incredibly Instagrammable locations across the state.

Most Instagrammable Places in Georgia, USA

  1. Atlanta Beltline, Atlanta

Atlanta is a melting pot of people, cultures, cuisine, and lifestyles. It’s an invigorating place to spend time and, as cities go, is a really friendly place to be. The brightness of the people and places around you is astonishing: it’s a lively city full of enticing storefronts and interesting people to stop and chat with. The infrastructure in Atlanta is set up to allow visitors the chance to move around easily (private jet hire companies operate from many of the airports across and around the city, car services are plentiful, and the best hotels/accommodations have access to helipads), and there are lovely places to walk…like the Beltline. This trail (biking is allowed too) is lined with art projects that evolve as time goes by, as well as adorable cafes, retail spaces, and MANY many places to stop off and snap a few story shorts or shoot a reel detailing the route.

  1. Tallulah Falls State Park

This majestic, dramatic, eyewateringly beautiful state park is, across every inch, one of the most Instagrammable locations in the entire state. From the plunging, jagged gorge to the roar of waterfalls and the soft, green moss that’s just begging to be touched, this gorgeous wooded park is a place of peace and calm: perfect for some “Come on a Hike” with me content (you should also definitely include the now retro TLC hit “Chasing Waterfalls” for a little added reach and a nudge nudge wink wink moment) or some static images showing off the varying ecosystems and kinds of natural beauty contained within the park. Don’t worry about predators, but do keep an eye out for adorable white-tailed deer, sweet and splashy river otters, and raccoons.

  1. Wormsloe State Historic Site, Savannah

One of the most iconic and easily recognisable locations in all of Georgia is Wilmslow State Historic Site. Used as the backdrop for many movie moments, this location gives major “down South” vibes with its gorgeous, ancient, slightly mysterious-seeming oak canopied streets. Most of the photos and videos taken in this area focus on that otherworldly oak canopy, but the home itself is certainly worth seeing. It’s the oldest standing structure in Savannah, which means it’s seen a lot and has been lived in through a LOT of history. It could be a good place to shoot something beautiful and remind your followers of how far we’ve come as a society and species, as well as how much value history holds for us, both aesthetically and as a lesson.

  1. Fausett Farms Sunflowers, Dawsonville

Oh, the pure joy that is a field of sunflowers! Is there anything in the whole world that looks as happy to be alive as a field of these gorgeous black and yellow discs? Fausett Farms’ sunflower fields have a “down home” style charm that’s un-fakeable, so you’ll want to set aside at least half a day to enjoy it fully. The options for fun, silly, endearing, or romantic posts and reels are endless, but do bear in mind that a fee is charged for photographers: amateurs (likely with a cellphone or small point and shoot) will be charged one fee, and professionals another: check out the website for exact amounts.

  1. Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island

Perched on the northernmost end of this lovely barrier island lies a spit of sandy shore known as Driftwood Beach. As beaches go, this one is lovely, more in a lonely and dramatic way than a “fun at the seaside” kind of way. Many wedding photoshoots or cosplay shoots have taken place here, and it’s particularly impressive when the enormous chunks of time and saltwater-smoothed wood are silhouetted against a setting sun. Do be aware that this is a popular spot, especially at sunset, so if there’s a particular spot you want to claim, you should arrive a little bit earlier than you think you need to, to make sure you have the perfect frame.

  1. The Collins Quarter, Savannah

If you’re looking for a spot to whip out or improve your food photography skills or to film a few “where to eat in Georgia/ Savannah” videos, then the Collins Quarter is the place to be. Surprisingly, this restaurant is Australian-inspired, and while the sidewalk seating area and the interior design are lovely, it’s the food that’s the star of the show here. Big options, vibrant combinations, foamy cappuccinos, and freezing drinks encased in sweating glass…YUM. There are always a lot of people around, so be considerate of others when shooting: stretching out into the next table’s space!
