avannah Aviation has recently added the Cirrus G6 SR-20 aircraft to their stellar fleet, available for trainees and joyriders alike. This acquisition has made Savannah Aviation coastal Georgia’s one and only Cirrus Training Center – further solidifying it as the top place in the region to train for a pilot license. There are a few basic requirements to start training and working your way to earning a pilot license. Trainees must be 16 years of age to ride solo, must be 17 years old to complete the check ride, must read, write, speak and understand English, and must be able to obtain a third-class medical certificate. Beyond checking these requirement boxes, one must enroll with a willingness to learn and a teachable attitude! The national average for completing pilot license instruction is 70 hours during a three to seven month period; however, Savannah Aviation has an optimized program and makes it their goal to help trainees obtain their license in 40 to 50 hours of instruction.

In addition to their pilot training programs, Savannah Aviation offers Discovery Flights for an incredible view of the Lowcountry, aircraft maintenance, detail and cleaning services, aircraft management and aircraft sales services. They are the Lowcountry’s top choice for all things aviation!
