The Hottest Event of the Year

The Art on Tap: Life's a Beach fashion show left guests speechless last night at the Jepson Center for the Arts. Thirty models, styled by South magazine's Fashion Editor, Ashley Borders and 40 Volume Salon & Spa, mastered the seemingly daunting runway which consisted of the main staircase in the atrium of the museum and circling through the intimate seating arrangement of viewers, left the audience in awe at the multi-cultural fashions designed by Zia Sachedina

The multi-cultural influence of  the chic collection comes from Zia himself, who split his childhood between Kenya and the US, while being raised by a Japanese-American mother and an East Indian father. This event celebrated the designer's ten year anniversary and the concept of the show was "The Four Seasons," presenting winter, spring, summer, and fall looks coupled with Zia's signature exotic jewelry to show women different ways to make a statement with accessories.

The doors of the museum opened at 7:30 with drinks (and appetizers for VIP guests), and ended with a champagne reception after the show where patrons could mingle with Zia and the 30 models strutting the runway.
