The Gingerbread House – Vacation Rentals Now Available
It has long been one of Savannah’s premier wedding venues and now it is also available as a vacation rental!
The Gingerbread House is one of Savannah’s most notable historic buildings. Built in 1899 by Cory Asendorf, The Gingerbread House is a stunning example of Steamboat Gothic Architecture. It has long been one of Savannah’s premier wedding venues and now it is also available as a vacation rental!
Last summer the Gingerbread House was acquired by Jennifer Jenkins, owner of Foxy Loxy Cafe, The Coffee Fox, Henny Penny Cafe and Fox & Fig Cafe, and she has worked diligently over the last several months to restore and renovate the building with local Interior Designer, Amy Lind. Lind has masterfully balanced the historic charm and beauty of the 108-year old building with a fresh and modern aesthetic.
The rental includes the entirety of the second floor, which is filled with natural light and tall ceilings. The three bedrooms can sleep up to eight guests, and there are two bathrooms, a cozy gathering room (complete with delightful breakfast nook) and a dining space that overlooks the ballroom.
The Gingerbread House is still available as a wedding venue and event space and we hope that visitors and locals alike will enjoy the beautifully renovated second floor! The vacation rentals are available through Lucky Savannah.
