Summer Experiences and Events at The Alida

The Alida, Savannah’s premier boutique hotel on River Street, announces summer experiences and events for guests and locals alike to enjoy over the next few months.

“While The Alida is worth visiting any time of year, we really see the hotel come alive in the summer.” said Michael O’Shaughnessy, area general manager. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate the spirit of Savannah with us through a variety of events, delicious food, and fun.”

• Sunday Swim –21+ pool-goers can soak up the sun to the sounds of DJ Fancy Parker while enjoying inventive cocktails, slushies, and snacks poolside at the property’s Sunday Swim series. The spacious pool deck is open to all, or cabanas are available by reservation for $20 per person, available here. Remaining dates include:

• July Fourth Celebrations –The Alida is celebrating Independence Day from July 2 to 4 with elevated American traditions. Guests and neighbors can sip and savor specialty libations and bites throughout the property at Rhett, Trade Room and The Lost Square. Patriotic menu items will include the American Dog with beef Frank, American cheese, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, shredded lettuce, horseradish mustard aioli, potato chip crumbles, Street Corn Dog with beef frank, buttered bun, roasted corn, cotija lime aioli, Tajin slow, and Slow & Low Roasted BBQ Ribs with sweet potato gratin and smoked chiles. Refreshment specials include $1 off beers plus a signature drink, the 4th of Blue-ly, made with Pisco, blue curacao, simple, pineapple, lemon, Peychaud’s. To add to the ambiance, live music from various DJs will also be played poolside over the weekend.

• The Lost Square Summer Cocktail Menu — Visitors to the rooftop bar throughout the summer can take in the fresh air and stunning views of the riverfront below while sipping on a selection of refreshing seasonal cocktails like Afternoon Watch with nikka gin, aloe, white port and saline and The Power Line with dark rum, chinola passionfruit, lime and demerara. During Sunset Hour from Monday to Thursday, 6-8 p.m., the bar offers specials on cocktails, bubbles and food items.
