St. Augustine Distillery Georgia Launch Party

An exclusive mix of restaurant owners, food and beverage mangers and bartenders arrived to the Bohemian Hotel on January 18th to celebrate the official Georgia Launch Party for the St. Augustine Distillery.  Director of Production and Head Distiller, Brendan Wheatley kicked off the evening at Rocks on the River Restaurant with an enthusiastic presentation that touched on every aspect of their creation process, from barrel quality to herb selection, while attendees enjoyed a taste of the end results. Following the industry tasting on the River, the party moved eight floors upstairs to Rocks on the Roof Bar where guests could enjoy complimentary St. Augustine cocktails and a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres prepared by Executive Chef, Tiffany Sawyer. Distillery co-founders, Philip McDaniel and Mike Diaz were also on hand to engage with guests and answer any questions, while director of Communications, Kara Pound, oversaw the evening to make sure everyone was personally attended to. 

Distributed locally by Georgia Prime Wine and Spirits, this first-of-its-kind Florida distillery utilizes locally grown ingredients to make small batch Whiskey, Rum, Gin and Vodka, along with insight and advice from some of the world's best distilling experts. Located inside of the award-winning, historic Ice Plant Complex in St. Augustine, Florida, the distillery is open Monday through Saturday form 11am until 6pm and on Sunday 11am until 6pm,. Free tours of the facility and tastings are offered daily beginning every half an hour until 5pm. Currently, the distillery offers Florida Cane Vodka, New World Gin and Pot Distilled Rum and the release of their Bourbon Whiskey is expected in the Fall of 2016.
