Spring’s Juiciest Accessory

During these last few sluggish weeks of winter, I become quite discontent with the layers upon layers of dark, heavy, clothing jutting out of my closet. Yes, I adore donning my vintage mink and dove gray suede booties. But by late February, the very thought of bundling up to get out the door is exhausting. I’d rather be lounging poolside, favorite magazine in one hand, pink lemonade margarita in the other.

However, until those blissfully warm days arrive, nothing lifts my mood like a good ol’ dose of online shopping. I’m not referring to the practical, mundane act of online bargain shopping for pantry staples, picture frames, or no- frill socks. No ma’am.

This particular webscapade will consist of purchasing a luxurious statement piece. It will be an investment in spring fashion and a definite mood booster. Some may view your behavior as impulsive and you may even be tempted to expedite shipping, but I won’t judge you. According to master couturier Christian Dior, “the real proof of an elegant woman is what is on her feet."

And as your friendly fashion insider, here’s what I’m currently coveting: Sophia Webster’s Jessica stilettos. These melon inspired heels quench my thirst for an accessory that is both supremely chic and positively southern. For those of you who don’t recognize her name, Sophia Webster is definitely having a moment. If you are a shoe obsessed, her instagram account will make you salivate. After launching her eponymous line in 2012, she has designed multiple collaborations for J.Crew. Her sophisticated and modern designs also graced the feet of Victoria’s Secret supermodels in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this past December. These fun, feminine stilettos are perfect for a picnic, wedding, art opening, date night or stroll thru the farmers market. Oh la la! Keep the rest of your ensemble simple and let your shoes do the talking.
