You can feel it in the air – spring is right around the corner, which means it’s time to pack up the family for a North Georgia adventure.
Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge and Unicoi State Park & Lodge, both located only a couple hours outside Atlanta, are the perfect setting for spring break family fun. As part of the Adventure Lodges of Georgia program, Amicalola Falls and Unicoi offer a variety of thrilling activities everyone can enjoy – ziplining, GPS scavenger hunts, kayaking and more. To help families envision the array of adventures that await at both parks, we’ve created sample itineraries. Families also can choose accommodations at the Lodges, cozy cabins or enhance their outdoor experience at the campgrounds. GoPro Class Record your adventures with a GoPro camera and learn the fundamentals of how to get optimal footage of each one. This class will teach different ways the camera can be mounted for a fresh perspective. Upon completion rent a camera of your own.
Canopy Tour Zip Line Those seeking an adrenaline rush will zip through the trees with the help of instructors and experience a bird’s-eye view of the forest.
Fire Pit Stories Storytellers will share their versions of history, ghost stories and tall tales while you enjoy s’mores around the fire. |

Guided Nature Hike Tour down the falls to the base of the natural pools while receiving a history lesson of the area from experienced guides.
Birds of Prey Get up close and personal with various species of owl, hawk and falcon and learn about their unique qualities. |
