SOUTH MAGAZINE AND ST. PADDY'S DAY

The 194th St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah was yet another success for the books. Hundreds of thousands of parade-goers flocked to the streets of the Historic District to join in on the beloved Savannah tradition, all while donning their finest shades of green.

Even Vice President Mike Pence had to join in on the festivities, flying in from D.C. to the Hostess City to walk a portion of the parade route. Alas, the best weekend of the year in Savannah has sadly come to an end—if you need us, we’ll just be counting down the days until next year. Erin go bragh!

Security was tight and friendly. Before Mike Pence made his entrance, security sweeps were executed. 

And the party began….

He seems to be enjoying the camera attention.

Bands are a must-see in any parade, especially this parade.
