Savannah Clovers to Host First Youth Pro Training Camp

Savannah-Based Pro Soccer Team To Begin Scouting Local Youth Talent

Savannah Clovers Football Club announced today that it would be conducting its first youth pro training camp. This camp will serve as an educational opportunity for local players to attend the first of many training sessions conducted by the Savannah Clover’s coaching staff.

Players that register and are selected will gain the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the area and begin building relationships with the club for an opportunity to experience what “training like a pro” feels like…

“We are excited to bring this camp to our local community, where we can begin to bridge the gap between youth club and pro soccer,” says C.E.O. Shane Folgado. “As a club, we want to make sure that we are at the forefront of identifying and maintaining relationships with these players so that we can provide them with an understanding of pro requirements as they aspire to a professional footballing career.”

“As a coach, I’m always interested in working with young talent and helping them develop as players,” says head coach David Proctor. “This season we have already given playing time to some of our local players and have helped them grow. We want to make sure to continue that as a club.”

The Savannah Clover’s Youth Pro Training Camp will be held on July 22nd at Memorial Stadium from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. To register players must be either a boy or girl between the ages of 15 and 18 and must be playing for the “A” team of their respective club. About NISA

The National Independent Soccer Association was founded in 2017 with a mission to bring professional soccer to every city in the United States. A pro league member of U.S. Soccer, NISA focuses on a model based on meritocracy, independent clubs controlling their own league, clubs owning their intellectual property, all without the barrier of territorial rights. A member of the U.S. Soccer Federation, NISA also runs the mid-summer Independent Cup, open to independent professional and amateur clubs alike, and NISA Nation, an incubator league for amateur clubs interested in going pro.
