PUTTING Away Crime

Savannahians came out on Saturday to join McGruff the Crime Dog and help him take a bite out of crime by supporting Savannah-Chatham Crimestoppers.

With a donation of $10, teams were able to participate in the tournament for a chance to place in first, second or third at Island Miniature Golf and Games on Wilmington Island. With bounce houses, games, free food, great prizes, and music provided by DJ Don Scott of WIXV/1-95 "The Rock of Savannah" this event was unFOREgetable.  Proceeds went towards funding the Crimestoppers reward fund to pay cash rewards to those who call in with information to the anonymous crime tip line. Everyone, including Mcgruff, hit their best shots to help #PUTTawayCRIME and fund the tip line that leads to arrests.

Crimestoppers of Savannah Chatham County is a nonprofit organization that has been helping keep Savannah safe for over 30 years! By providing a trust-worthy, anonymous tip line that does not include names, tracking or caller ID and rewards those who call in with information, Crimestoppers allow police to better make arrests and solve crimes. If you have information about a crime in your area, contact Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020 or submit a tip online.
