Pray, Perform, Persist
Georgia Southern football star Adrian Peterson and his foundation get involved with the latest community event, a dinner and silent auction, to help raise awareness for children with speech and language impediments.
Thursday, July 28, RJ’s Grill will host a dinner and silent auction to raise money and advance the mission of the Adrian Peterson Foundation.
The foundation’s goal is to empower children with speech and language disorders while increasing awareness and building unity within the communities that support those children. Adrian Peterson travels to speak to children at various schools and centers about the power of prayer, performance, and persistence when life is throwing challenging obstacles at them.

Adrian Peterson is a Georgia Southern Eagle and former NFL and UFL football player. During his time at Georgia Southern, he set numerous records for the school and Division I-AA conference. In addition he won the Walter Payton Award for the most outstanding player in I-AA football.
Despite his success, Peterson suffered much loss when his 6-year-old son, AJ passed away a year after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Since his son’s passing, Peterson has used the media to help educate people who suffer from speech and language disorders.
With the money raised from the dinner and silent auction, Peterson ultimately hopes to eventually speak at every school in America in order to make a difference in the lives of children today. He wants to encourage the children to dream big and just be patient with life.
Tickets for the event cost $75 and can be purchased by emailing Nate Shaffer, the Vice President of S Bank, at nshaffer@sbank.com The Adrian Peterson foundation and S Bank have partnered together in order to raise the most money and awareness they possibly can.
