Perhaps the perfect summer farewell, Labor Day weekend at Georgia’s Callaway Gardens will have you soaring into September.
Each night will host a hot air balloon glow followed by a brilliant fireworks show, all from its white sand Robin Lake Beach. During the day, the 2,500-acre property, just north of Columbus, will offer its usual scenic hiking and biking trails, Birds of Prey show and the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center. Guests may also choose to soak up the sun before the show, as the beach will offer drink specials and live music leading up to the big event.

Savannah Sizzler at Roebling Road Raceway with NASA-SE
Start your engines and head over to the summer’s hottest racing event, the Savannah Sizzler at Roebling Road Raceway, formerly known as the Savannah International Speedway.
The September race is organized by the Southeast Region of the National Auto Sport Association, where members of the premier sports car racing and high-performance driving club will have the chance to take their race cars out onto the track. The three-day weekend event is a high-speed way to bring Summer 2022 to the finish line. Gates open Thursday at 5pm and close Sunday at 6pm

2022 Fast and the Furriest 5K-9
The Savannah Kennel Club is kicking off their Responsible Dog Owners Weekend with a racecourse for you and your canine pal. No dog? No problem.
Local rescues will be on-site to pair you with a four-legged racing companion. There will be a one-mile fun walk available from point to point. Following the race, enjoy refreshments and massages for you and your furry friend to cool off. All participants will receive a doggie bandanna, race T-shirt and a finisher’s medal to commemorate the day. Stay after the race to enjoy food trucks, vendor booths, canine sports demos and other pup-themed activities.
