Phil the Squares with Music presented by the Savannah Philharmonic returns in October

The perfect way to enjoy socially distanced live music is back for October in Savannah, Georgia.

(Savannah, GA) – A popular new music event that is free and open to the public returns to Chippewa Square on Saturday, October 10. Savannah Philharmonic’s (SavPhil) Phil the Squares with Music made its debut on Labor Day and returns for what promises to be another outstanding event with two concerts, the first from 10:00 – 11:00AM and the second from 5:30 – 6:30PM.

SavPhil is partnering with homeowners and businesses of the downtown area to provide free outdoor music for the Savannah community. Perched on balconies and terraces overlooking Savannah’s squares, SavPhil Musicians will play a wide variety of musical selections.

The Celli artist group, an all-female cello quartet, will perform on October 10. Their members playing that day are Erin Cassel, Nan Kemberling, Sarah Kapps, and Jessica Messere.

“Wave hello to our musicians as you pass by or enjoy the full performance via Facebook live,” Keitaro Harada, Music and Artistic Director said. The organization is excited to announce that Phil the Squares with Music is sponsored by Staci Donegan Real Estate.

The Savannah Philharmonic is a professional orchestra presenting a full range of concerts each season from classics to pops. Savannah Philharmonic Chorus is a community-based auditioned ensemble that performs regularly with the orchestra and in chorus-only concerts. Both are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
