Operation Empower Health Offers No Cost Healthcare to Chatham County May 10th – 18th

More than four hundred service members from every branch of the military are traveling to Savannah to provide no cost medical, dental, vision and veterinary services for more than 6,000 people in the community and surrounding region. The Department of Defense chose Savannah as the flagship site for the 2018 Innovative Readiness Training Program, a U.S. military training opportunity that provides real-life deployment training and readiness for military personnel while addressing public and civil-society needs.

Labeled as, Operation Empower Health – Greater Savannah, troops will be at four locations throughout the Chatham County for nine days in order to provide no cost health care services for those 18-years-old from May 10th – 18th. No proof of income, residency or picture ID is required to receive care. .

Patient education

DENTAL:
Extractions
Fillings

VISION:
Eye exams
Prescriptions
Fabrication of glasses

VETERINARY SERVICES:
Spay/neuter (only at Civic Center and Pet Fix Savannah; not available on the 11, 12, 13 or 19; by appointment only)
General exams
Rabies vaccinations

Services will be provided on a first come, first serve basis from 8am until 4pm at the following locations.
