Old Fort Jackson Family Campover

The 2018 Old Fort Jackson Family Campover, the annual event for families to experience historic programs and family fun in a 210-year-old National Historic Landmark. The event will take place on Friday, March 9th at 4 pm through Saturday, March 10th at 9 am at Old Fort Jackson, 1 Fort Jackson Rd, Savannah, GA 31404.
“The Old Fort Jackson Family Campover offers a unique experience for families to enjoy together,” said Jennifer Rouse, Site Administrator at Old Fort Jackson. “Event attendees can experience firsthand the many aspects of life as a soldier at Old Fort Jackson through our fun and interactive programs.”
This year’s check-in and tent setup will begin at 4 pm, the event will kick off at 6 pm and dinner will be served at 6:45 pm. During the event children and adults will train as soldiers, play period appropriate games, try quill letter writing, make crafts, and participate in flag training and a drill station.
The next morning campers will rise, pack up their gear, enjoy a hot breakfast and participate in the event closing ceremonies. Preregistration and prepayment are required and tickets are $65 for children ages 4 to 15 years of age. Tickets are $45 for adults 16 years of age and older.
