O.C. is an award-winning Ford dealer who takes pride in bettering his community, alongside his pup, Gus.
Accolades pile up, and O.C. Welch is humbled by them all. When he was nominated for Ford’s prestigious Salute to Dealers award, given to only six dealers in the world each year for their commitment to community — and given to only three in the U.S. — he looked at the competition and never thought he had a chance — until they announced his name.
His dedication to his community is rooted in a sincere gratitude for all it has given to him. Welch donates generously to as many as 50 different charities in the region, and he also funded the Bacon Park Golf Course renovation in Savannah. Welch has been playing golf on the course since the age of five and couldn’t bear to see it closed — so he stepped in, essentially saving the course from ruin. For Welch, giving back is more than just part of his business, it’s something he feels called and compelled to do.
