Moss + Oak Eatery Southern-Style Bistro Open in Savannah

Hyatt Regency Savannah, a full-service, contemporary waterfront hotel, is pleased to announce the opening of Moss + Oak Savannah Eatery.

The new restaurant, which focuses on fresh ingredients and regional heritage, features a traditional dining space, bar, and quick-stop market. Led by executive chef James Morin, the menu will feature primarily Savannah-style cast iron preparation and use seasonal ingredients supplied by top-tier local farms.

The River Street-facing eatery, which is one portion of Hyatt Regency Savannah’s multi-million dollar renovation, is a destination for not only guests of the hotel, but locals and visitors alike. Executive chef James Morin’s modern spin on traditional low-country cuisine and passion for sourcing produce from local farmers, makes for an outstanding cultural experience while retaining the casual charm Savannah has made famous.

The dining space within Moss + Oak Savannah Eatery is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will serve authentic southern dishes such as Shrimp and Grits, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and She Crab Soup for lunch and dinner. Early-risers can enjoy the southern breakfast buffet which will include a daily chef’s special such as seasonally-inspired french toast, skillet cakes and fresh market preserves. Select menu items will also feature honey from the hotel’s rooftop garden in partnership with acclaimed Savannah Bee Company.

Moss + Oak Bar injects the same sophisticated, southern elegance as the dining space. The bar will feature local and regional beer and liquor in addition to signature cocktails. The bar is open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to midnight.


Moss + Oak Market is the hotel’s grab and go shop for fresh-made items such as flavorful salads, sandwiches, pastries and Starbucks Coffee. This quick-fix shop is best suited for guests of the hotel who are looking to pick up a smaller meal or snack to-go.

Outdoor patio seating is available and includes two fire pits, heat lamps, and a retractable awning, in addition to breathtaking water-front views of the Savannah River and River Street. The patio seating is perfect for parties, cocktails, or anyone looking to relax by the river. The eatery can be accessed from River Street in addition to the main entrance in the hotel, and features multiple TVs both indoors and outdoors for sports viewing.
