Founded in 1999, award-winning Moon River Brewing Company has experienced some variation over the years, but what holds the culinary experience together is co-owner Gene Becco. A world traveler, Becco’s cuisine expertise is exemplified best by his ability to take ideas he sees while traveling and giving them that classic Savannah spin. A melting pot of diversity, Moon River offers a range of dishes from locally sourced pub fare, to classic seafood dishes, and even steaks. Most of the food is locally sourced, yet reasonably priced. Reminiscent of century-old beer halls, this former city hotel located right on Bay Street will leave you with new friends and good spirits. The warm and comfortable atmosphere, which can be attributed to the passionate service and house-made beer, is a perfect compliment to freshly prepared foods.
