Go beyond the typical Saturday night movie date and discover cutting-edge films right here in Savannah at the 2016 Big River Film Festival, July 7-9th.   

In its first year, the Big River Film Festival, ‘Championing the Spirit of Independent Filmmaking,’ will offer access to the world of film through programming, master classes, live performances, and conversations with some of the most compelling filmmakers today.

At the festival, attendees will have the chance to view films by some of the world’s most diverse independent filmmakers.   Both feature and short films will premiere including a special screening of “Hell or High Water,” starring Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine.  Other films, produced right here in Georgia, include “My Brother’s Keeper”, “Ben & Ara” and a short film, “A Walk in Winter,” starring James Franco. International films such as “The Eve” (Italy), “Spoken Silence” (France) and “Mister Come Tomorrow” (India) will also show at the festival.

The festival will wrap with a Saturday concert featuring Kick the Robot. VIP All Access Passes, two-day weekend passes, and one-day passes are available now.
