The Rees Jones Signature course has appeared on Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Courses” and “Best in State” lists and has earned a coveted position in Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 in the World.” One of course’s most fun and interesting features is the fact that the par-3 eighth and 17th holes give golfers two options of holes to play – the “Haig” versions and the more challenging “Calibogue” versions that are closer to the water. The course opened in 1986, but Jones returned in 2007 to restore the greens and sharpen the course’s legacy as one of the best in the nation. The track can play as long as 7,380 yards from the back tees, providing a sturdy test for even the most accomplished golfers.
