Folio names South in its 2015 Magazine Medic Honors

It’s a prestigious honor awarded by a prestigious magazine.

Folio magazine is an industry giant. It’s deemed “the 43-year-old industry bible” and is dedicated to providing publishing professionals with the news, insights and best practices to keep them in tune with today's media industry. They launched the Magazine Medic Honors last year to honoring publications that have demonstrated vibrant health or are showing renewed signs of vigor as the result of exceptional editorial/creative management.

It’s its second year, Folio named South as a Magazine Medic Honoree, one of seven magazines picked nationally.

Folio writes: “THE SOUTH RISES: South … Little noticed outside of its Savannah homebase, this vibrant book has developed into a beautifully turned-out love poem to its famously artsy-fartsy region.”

A winning endorsement if there ever was one, South is honored to be a part of a list that also includes Town & Country, Marie Claire, Inc. and Readers Digest.

We at South strive to consistently raise the editorial bar and bring our readers a fresh look at the Low country. And we thank Cable Nehaus at Folio for noticing.
