Film South

From Southern celebrities to film locations, the glory of the South is being recognized in Hollywood.

The South has become the new Mecca for the American film industry. It’s no longer required to pack up and move to Hollywood to make it big. From the beautiful scenery, the talented people and the incredible tax breaks that Georgia and the rest of the South are offering, it’s no wonder more films were made down here in the past year than in California.

It’s no surprise to us that these Hollywood types are falling in love with the people, places, history, and intrigue of Savannah. We aren’t called the Hostess City of the South for nothing. So in honor of our city’s bustling film and television production industry, we’ve dedicated an entire section in this issue to the people who tirelessly work on both sides of the camera, and the locations that put Savannah on the map.
