At Rosenfeld Neurology & Sleep my team and I bring state of the art, cutting edge medical therapies for neurologic and sleep conditions with a personalized focus in a compassionate setting.

WHEN AND WHY

While at Emory School of Medicine, a Neurologist was giving a lecture that no one appeared to understand or be interested in. I knew right then that there was always going to be a need for this type of specialist and with each passing year we are in higher demand.

OUTSTANDING MOMENT

While trying to understand why many people have non-refreshing sleep, I stumbled upon a particular brainwave pattern that interfered with deep sleep by using quantitative EEG (electroencephalography), a technique I learned while doing brain mapping at U.C.L.A. This became published and widely reported in magazines, on news channels and is quoted in many medical books.

OUTSTANDING PERSON

My father served in WWII and then went into medicine. I remember no matter where we went, people would always comment about what a great doctor he was and how he had helped them. I aspire daily to do the best I can to help people and treat them with respect and kindness.

OUTSTANDING TECHNOLOGY

Neurology has transformed from a largely diagnostic specialty into a field with many treatments for previously untreatable conditions due to the development of Intravenous Monoclonal Antibody Technology. We now have specific targeted treatments for Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and migraines.

COVID-19 CHALLENGES

My father-in-law died of COVID-19 before the vaccine became available. That was a tremendous blow to our family that we have not and may not ever recover from.
