Plant Riverside District’s newest culinary installment, District Gelato, will host a family-friendly grand opening on Saturday, May 1 from 1-4 p.m.
Plant Riverside District is truly the gift that keeps on giving. The entertainment and dining hub introduces its newest addition: District Gelato. District Gelato offers Savannah’s only house-made gelato as well as fresh-baked Italian cookies, biscotti, shakes, sundaes and more.
The dessert hotspot will host a family-friendly grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 1 from 1-4 p.m. The free event will include a kids arts and crafts corner as well as a live performance by the Savannah Bananas Pep Band from 1-2 p.m., plus a special appearance by Split, the official team mascot. This event is free and open to the public.

Located on the street level of Plant Riverside District’s Three Muses building at 400 W. River St., District Gelato features indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Savannah River and is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Friday and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday from noon to 9 p.m.
