Throwing a dinner party every day.

“When making a dish,” Michael Higgins and Tod Whitaker tell their team, “make sure it’s something you would serve to a guest in your home.”

Their uniquely Southern menu triumphs by teaming with local businesses like Wicked Cakes, Donna’s Delicious Delites, Auspiciuous Bakery, Carlstedt’s Flowers, Davis Produce and Rive Gauche Wines. “Jason Restivo from Rive Gauche guided us in creating an amazing core wine list from organic, artisanal vineyards in California and Europe.” Boutique wines meet low riding pups as the owners’ champion Pembroke Welsh corgis are meal namesakes: Robust Clark is roast beef sandwich, the house salad is a Locket, who never lost the baby weight, Alice can be kind of fishy, Gertrude is a little chicken and Fredo is cheesy, all of which translate, but grand matriarch Beatrix is the bleu cheese wedge for how she wedged herself into people’s hearts. “We’ve also extended Friday-Saturday hours,” Higgins invites, “when the room looks and feels amazing – Southern feel with a little European ambiance.”
