Love’s Seafood
Fine family-oriented, waterfront dining
One of the few family owned restaurants remaining in Chatham County, celebrating over 70 years. With 4 generation involvement.
This beloved dining destination with its rich history dating back to 1949 lies along the tranquil Ogeechee River, offering a picturesque setting, complete with scenic views and rustic charm.
Those views landed Love’s Seafood as one of many filming locations of the Academy award winning movie “Forrest Gump” starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright Penn in 1993.
The menu features a delightful array of fresh, locally sourced seafood, including shrimp, crab, and oysters, prepared with Southern flair. Patrons can savor classic Lowcountry dishes like shrimp and grits or dive on in and enjoy Love’s famous bone-in catfish dinner, “the original family recipe,” this started it all!
