Chef Kyle Lipetzky’s Progressive Dining Experience at Plant Riverside District

On Wednesday, October 21, a select group of VIPs experienced Chef Kyle Lipetzky’s personally selected, multi-course progressive dining experience to indulge in a sampling of the new food and beverage outlets available at PRD. Lipeyzky, who has over 23 years of experience in the industry, is now responsible for the largest culinary operation in Savannah, Georgia.

The Baobab LoungeDistrict SeafoodDistrict SmokehouseStone & Webster ChophouseGraffito PizzaElectric Moon Skytop Lounge and Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Garden provided the tasting menu which included Broiled Oysters, BBQ Pork Ribs, Smoked Brisket Sliders, Lobster Bisque, Meatballs al Forno, Pork Belly Bao Buns and Tuna Poke Tacos, to name just a few of the epicurean delights! Local foodie and Savannah dining expert, Christina Petsos (@somehowimnotfat), raved about the oysters, telling South she “was really pleasantly surprised, since I am relatively new to the oyster scene.” Each dish could turn any diner into a believer with expertly curated flavors, textures and presentations. The whimsical theme of the overall progressive sampling menu presentation added a genuinely entertaining element to the dining experience.

The surprises did not end with the delightful dishes – each savory dish was topped with an equally delectable dessert and accented with exquisite cocktail creations. Dessert at Myrtle & Rose was Chocolate Pot De Creme and Marshmallow Pops. A specialty cocktail was offered by each restaurant, with names such as “Honey I’m Home,” “Peach Palmers,” “Luminescences,” “Canebrakes” and more!

As if anyone needed more reasons to check out the new Plant Riverside District, the development is packing some serious punch in Savannah’s already fiercely competitive dining scene. The array of options means offers something for everyone, as well as plenty of opportunity to try something new.
