Bluffton Seafood Festival

Any venture into Old Town Bluffton is captivating, but none so much as the Annual Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival coming October 16-24. Held in the heart of the charming downtown district with southern exposure May River breezes, we have your itinerary for enjoying a week “Where Fine Art & the Bounty of the Sea Come Together.”

Lori Holland of Lowcountry Rocks Lobster.

Festivities kick off with formal fare at the four-course Bluffton State of Mind Supper Soiree Saturday the 16th.

Sunday’s first full day starts with a walk in the park at Art on the Street before heading to the waterfront for the Boat Parade and the Blessing of the Fleet, with live Gospel music in newly renovated Wright Park. Stay for the Oyster Fest finale at Oyster Factory Park, “the first Oyster roast of the season.”

Captain Chris and May River Excursions get Monday out in the water with May River Boat Tours (daily Monday-Sunday) capped by the evening’s Dinner & Learn at Bluffton Seafood House.

Tuesday’s Oyster Farm Tours offer rare access to the farm’s inner workings, leading into a limited-seats lunch at Bluffton Seafood House.

On Wednesday, more river tours pair with Author Night, serving complimentary hors d’oeuvres at Oscar Frazier’s Rotary Center.

Thursday is a Tuesday redux with May-two-ways: river boat and oyster farm tours.

With the weekend comes (yes, more river tours, this town is always on the water) Friday’s Red Apron Sips and Seafood Party (“a grand culinary celebration under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Hewitt Oaks”).

A packed Saturday includes the Old Town Oyster 10k Road Race & 5k Run, Take A Kid Fishing Tournament, Art & Seafood Street Fest, Art in the Park, and Rockin’ on the Dock, with live music and the week’s grand finale fireworks at dusk.

Don’t let the finale fool you, there’s still an encore Sunday, your last shot at the Art & Seafood Street Fest (food, views, tailgating, live music on two stages), and Art in the Park (with magic show).

This is where a Lowcountry community and all its guests come together over a few of their favorite things.

You’re invited to not miss the magic.
