Savannah's First Luxury Hotel Opens This Spring

Perry Lane Hotel welcomes guests with worldly style and Southern warmth.

With a concept so seamlessly integrated into the city’s thoroughfare, the opening of Perry Lane Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel this spring will spark the question: Has this hotel always been part of Savannah? The new project from Flank, a New York based design and development firm, and operated by Sage Hospitality, exudes Southern warmth with worldly elegance, aiming to be a revolution for the destination. The visionary hotel features 167 guest rooms, a rooftop pool and sundeck, 8,100 square feet of meeting and event space and three lively dining concepts: Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market, The Wayward Bar, and Peregrin Rooftop Pool & Bar. Like Savannah herself, Perry Lane Hotel is vibrant, lighthearted, thoughtful and distinctive. It is perfectly positioned for travelers who seek a deeper, wider and more nuanced experience of America’s first planned city.

“With this rich heritage and uniquely eclectic and worldly population, it’s no wonder that Savannah has long stood as a vital symbol of diversity and inclusivity for the South,” said Pritpal Singh, general manager of Perry Lane Hotel. “As the city continues to change and evolve with time, Perry Lane Hotel is on a mission to redefine the traditional Savannah hospitality experience."

To celebrate its integration into the city's vibrant culture, Perry Lane hosted a Grand Opening reception on May 22nd. The party began in the lobby and courtyard and moved to the hotel's rooftop as the evening progressed. The experience served as an invitation-exclusive preview of Perry Lane Hotel's excellent guest accommodations, dining and beverage selections and event planning services.

The art, design, décor and sophistication of Perry Lane Hotel is the vision of muse and grande dame, Adelaide Harcourt, a Savannah native. Her life experience, travels and love of Savannah inspired the hotel’s design and art collection, which is eclectic, worldly, and peculiar. Brimming with sophistication, wit and intrigue, the art collection feels as if amassed over a lifetime. The combination of family heirlooms, travel mementos and contemporary artwork imbues the hotel with a richly textured and fully lived life, not unlike the life of our guests.

Each guestroom is regionally and residentially inspired, with a unique 21st century approach to technology, comfort and indulgence. Oversized windows allow natural sunlight to illuminate lush fabrics and Frette Italian bed linens, leather headboards, and deeply hued walls adorned with notable artwork. A welcoming checkered marble foyer flooring that feels more like a residence of a well-to-do friend than a hotel lobby. Throughout the hotel, subtle design nods to Savannah’s history including “old world” millwork, metal and glasswork that harken back to the Colonial and Revolutionary era in the region.

At The Emporium Kitchen + Wine Market, brought to Savannah by Denver based Restaurateur, Peter Karpinski, Co-Founder of Sage Restaurant Group, variety and quality take center stage, a cultural epicenter celebrating unique roots and bold originality. This local gathering place is bursting with vibrant energy and boasts an offering that's approachable, curated, and highly diverse. The Emporium welcomes you, whether you're looking to stay awhile and savor the experience with a wine tasting or cooking class, or just to stop in for a quick gourmet sandwich and charcuterie board before heading out on your next adventure.

From fresh fish to wild foraged mushrooms, The Emporium’s Kitchen restaurant showcases locally sourced, quality menu items that will take your dining experience to the next level. With signature menu items such as Blue Hill Bay Mussels and Frites, Wood-Grilled Spring Trout, or BBQ Wagyu Brisket, The Emporium Kitchen is a dining experience that one should not miss.

The Wayward Bar isn’t your typical local watering hole. Wayward is an experience. Harnessing a vibe of punk, glam, garage and rock and roll, everything about Wayward is an unexpected turn of expression. Wayward is refined but a bit off beat. It embarks casual elegance mixed with a touch of rebellion. Wayward is nothing, if not irregular. Nestled inside The Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah’s Historic District, the Wayward Bar invites you to throw social norms out the window and relish in the ebb and flow of the Wayward way.
