The Best Tourist Attractions in New York City

While I was in Mexico, I always dreamed of visiting and exploring New York City. Then I finally moved to the United States, and that too, New York City itself, “the city that never sleeps”.

Once I settled in, the first thing I did was get a reliable internet connection at home that would let me plan out my itinerary, do the research that I needed, and make all the bookings that I required. So, I opted for Spectrum internet. The best part about it was that when I contacted Spectrum Servicio al Cliente, I was connected to a Spanish-speaking representative who made the subscription process a lot easier. From there on, exploring New York City got a lot easier.

Then began my adventure, and I went to all the major tourist attractions in the city. Here are the places in New York City that you shouldn’t miss out on.

Statue of Liberty

One of the most iconic places to visit in the United States is the Statue of Liberty, which is as bueno (good) as it gets. The best part about the monument is that it was gifted by France to the United States many years ago, which gives it a lot of historical significance.

You can book a ferry ride that takes you to the statue, and once you reach there, make sure you climb the stairs all the way up, since there is a lot to explore inside the tower of the monument.

Plus, there are numerous photo opportunities that you shouldn’t miss out on, so make sure that you make the most out of your trip when you go there.

Pro tip: Get there early in the morning to avoid long queues and a large crowd.

Times Square

If you really want the feeling of “the city that never sleeps”, then you should definitely head to Times Square. The best thing about the place is that it’s active all through the day and night; it has a different vibe during the day and a different one during the night.

While the daytime gives you a better perspective of the people who visit there and all the hustle and bustle, the nighttime is perfect to give you an idea of the lights and how well-lit the place is.

If you want to make the most out of your trip, you can take a couple of friends along so that all of you can take multiple pictures there. Make sure you go there during both daytime and nighttime.

Empire State Building

If there’s another thing that New York City is known for, it’s tall buildings and skyscrapers. The best example of skyscrapers in New York City is the Empire State Building, which allows you to visit the rooftop as well. Now what’s the point of going to a random rooftop? I’ll explain it to you.

Since the Empire State Building is one of the tallest buildings in the city, heading to the rooftop gives an entire view of the cityscape, which, in itself, is beautiful. There are also multiple telescopes through which you can zoom in to explore various landmarks around the city.

Pro tip: if you’re not afraid of heights and want a complete view of the city, then you should definitely visit the Empire State Building at sunset.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

If you’re looking for modern infrastructure to explore, then this is your place to go. The building offers a very immersive experience with numerous mirrored rooms and glass floors, which makes you feel like you are moving about entirely in glass. This makes it the perfect building for your photo opportunities, which is why you should make sure you visit every corner of the building.

Not only that, but it is also the perfect option to visit with your friends and family. So, if your family ever comes to visit you, you know where to take them. I’m sure all of them will have an experience of a lifetime, so make sure neither you nor your family misses out on it.

Pro tip: Buy tickets for everyone in advance as they sell out quickly, especially during weekends or holidays.

Rockefeller Center

If you want a nice 360-degree view of the city, then you definitely need to pay the Rockefeller Center a visit. Once you head to the top, you’ll see that you get an amazing view of the city, which you can capture on your camera or your smartphone.

You’ll be glad to know that the view also includes the Empire State Building itself and New York’s very well-known Central Park. This way, you can take in the entire view of New York City from one place, which makes the Rockefeller Center a must on your list of places to visit.

Pro tip: You must visit both top decks; they have multiple levels with each offering slightly different angles for photos.

Lastly, I also believe that you should visit Central Park itself since it is one of the most iconic places in New York City. It’s a vast park with a lot of greenery, something that you definitely shouldn’t miss out on.
