Serving up a craft kitchen and bar experience with creative American dishes, this restaurant has all the benefits of downtown while being conveniently located in Midtown Savannah.
Business partners Jason and Kara Ford and Brad and Dallas Sellars are closing in on their three-year anniversary since opening their joint business venture, OAK 36 BAR + KITCHEN at Twelve Oaks on Abercorn in Savannah’s midtown.
After opening during the onset of the C-word, struggling with a lagging labor market, and a kitchen fire that set them back several months, it’s safe to say this family business has been tested in the best and worst of ways.
Despite these challenges, it’s clear they are thriving if the crowd during lunch, dinner, happy hour, or brunch service is any indication.
Led by Executive Chef Jason Reyes, with an eye on delivering local and regionally-sourced seasonal menus, and a lively craft bar experience, OAK 36 feels like going downtown, without the drive.
You can catch trivia on Tuesdays, weekly live music, happy hour, and other special events at OAK 36.
