Owners Deborah and Ashley McCorkle have created a new retail store that sells a curated selection of home goods that are authentic “pieces of the South.”
They’ve traveled across the length and breadth of our region to seek out some of the best examples of craftsmanship the South has to offer, from glassmakers in North Carolina, broom makers in Appalachia, to makers of fine table settings in Tennessee. “Home decor styles like Farmhouse and even Coastal have become homogenized as their production has been shipped to China and sold through big box stores,” McCorkle says. “We’re going back to the roots that inspired these regional styles to bring our customers the authentic article to beautify their homes and entertain their guests.” Their new location on Bull Street will be open by the end of 2023. In the meantime, they have a limited Fall Entertaining collection on their website featuring provisions for entertaining family and friends over the holidays.
